Welcome to the first electronic issue of LeadershipNY, our periodic e-Newsletter for religious leaders in New York City. LeadershipNY comes to you from the Council of Churches of the City of New York and is a continuation our magazine which was distributed to churches throughout the City for many years.

Each issue will contain items that are of importance to the congregations and neighborhoods in this very special City. They will be timely and merit your attention. The headlines below will link to you information posted on the Council’s website. Items are selected to inform on upcoming conferences, seminars, creative ministry opportunities, and government regulations affecting places of worship and their congregants.

Please visit our website – at www.CCCNY.net. You will find a wealth of information useful to your church and its leaders, both clergy and lay. There is also an Interfaith Directory with a page for each of the over 5,500 congregations of all faiths in the five Boroughs. We are mailing a survey to update and flesh out this information. Please respond to the survey so that your information will be both complete and timely, but we invite you to use the Update button on your congregation’s page to send us missing or corrected information by email.

Founded in 1895, the Council of Churches of the City of New York is the oldest council of churches with continuing ministry in the United States. This e-Newsletter is a new addition to all of our ccontinuing ministries to the City and to its people.
